RECORDING

This space has always been used for recording whether it be audio or video or both. Equipment always being added and upgraded.  In 2017 recording began specifically the drum tracks for the upcoming album from Sinphonics by performed by Steve Valenzuela and recorded by Andrew Rivas. All other tracks were recorded in Andrew's home studio at The Rivas Project.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Not only has equipment been upgraded, although also the expertise in recording, mastering and the production process. All of this because of Andrew Rivas. I have tried to learn and absorb everything that I can.

Andrew is not only a musician although an engineer in every sense of the word. Andrew's knowledge in every creative and technical aspect of productions. This seen directly through The Rivas Project, Horror Brands and Monocut Records.

Andrew asked and wanted to give credit to some of the recording process completed at this location. "What is the name of your studio?"

I was honored and humbled with that thought and that question. Andrew always new I wanted to not just learn and grow in musicianship although also in all aspects of the recording process.

There are so many amazing recording studios where bands created sonic works of art and these sounds captured by the talented engineers in those sacred spaces.

After much thought I went with Electric Lion Studios in homage to the legendary Jimi Hendrix and the studio he built called Electric Lady Studios.

I have always had a respect and appreciation of the genius that is Jimi Hendrix.

This name just felt right. My goal is to do my best in recording, producing and sharing the best music possible..
